Make Your Blog Popular - How to

You have a new and an attractive blog. Your blog have great contents yet traffic coming to blog is sparse and infrequent. Some of the options that you may consider is to spend money to advertise your blog (if you thinking of instant traffic, buy it). That's easily said then done because what if you are out of money. Anyway, paid traffic is usually temporarily. Once your ads stopped running, traffic will also be back to normal. Dejavu.

But don't fret, there are still ways to get more traffic without costing you your arms and legs. Here's a rundown of many of the things that you can learn and do to make your website a popular one and maybe one day you can be a famous blogger.

1.
Update your blog frequently - Readers will be more interest in blog with regular updates. However, don't publish 10 posts daily just for the sake of frequent posting. Make sure your new post have useful topics or contents.

2. Get linked - Submit your post URL to various social networking sites to pull more audience. If your post rocks, word of mouths or rather the power of social sharing will fire up your blog popularity.

3. Syndicate your site - Learned how RSS works and how it can spread feeds to readers. This push technique allow your latest post to be distribute to the reader instead of waiting for them to come over your blog to reader. It's just throwing a morning newspaper at their doorstep.

4. Comment on other similar sites and forums - Leave your blog URL (or footprint) at popular blog. Most bloggers who has became very famous, were once active forumer. They use popular forums to spread the link to their blog. Needless to say, refrain from spamming at those forums.

5. Interact with your readers - Communicate with your readers. However, don't shout back should the reader leave a negative comments about your blog or your posts. Blogging courtesy at all time must be practiced to maintain those online relationship.

6. Be timely - If you are blogging about current issues or event, be timely about it. No one want to read an outdated blogs. That's why online media such as news portals or even TV always have their segment on "Breaking news".

7. Trade some links
- If you exchange business card or call card, then it only right that you can exchange links. For marketing purpose, every kind of link exposure is helpful.
8. Don't overstuff your blog with too many affiliate links - I guess most people hate free TV channel because it being overdosed with TV commercial. Readers like aesthetically pleasing sites and nothing (other than blinking text and automatically playing music) ruins the experience quicker than a barrage of ads.

9. Don't make people register - You should always try to make your site as easily accessible as possible. One way to do this is to not force registering to view or interact with your site. If your readers need to register to view your content, most of them won't. Readers are private people and too bad they do not want to share their email address.

10. Good spelling and grammar - If your English grammar is rather poor, the very least you could not is to make sure your blog post doesn't contained typo error. Check for spelling mistake before you click on the Publish button.
